What this T-shirt is like
It is a Gildan 64000 Softstyle in ring-spun cotton, 150 gsm. A touch more body than the premium one and a slightly less fine hand, because the yarn is not combed: this is the everyday T-shirt, the one that goes in the wash every week without a second thought. Straight unisex cut, with shoulder-to-shoulder taping.

The drawing goes on one side only, on the chest, printed straight onto the fabric with water-based inks. It is not a vinyl stuck on top: you cannot feel it when you run your hand over it, it does not crackle when you fold it and it has no edge for it to start peeling from. In exchange the ink lives inside the cotton and ages with it.
Inside out, at 30 °C, no bleach, and never iron over the print.

The drawing on «Lámina de Hawkins, 1854»
The framed plate of a marine reptile: long neck, four paddle flippers, barrel body and the plate caption hinted at underneath, as in the popular science plates of the 19th century.
Where this drawing comes from
It is a plate inside a plate: what gets printed is the popular science plate with its caption hinted at underneath, not the animal cut out. It is about showing how a plesiosaur was shown in 1854, not about showing a plesiosaur.
What goes on the chest is not an animal: it is a popular science plate with its frame hinted at and its caption underneath, that is, a printed object inside another printed object. From a distance it reads as a rectangle with a beast in it and it makes you come closer to read the caption, which is exactly the effect those plates had when they were handed out at Sydenham.
Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins sculpted the dinosaurs and antediluvian reptiles of the Crystal Palace at Sydenham, unveiled in 1854, and drew the comparative plates used to explain them to the public. The plesiosaur reconstruction follows the one Richard Owen dictated to him for those models: this is how the remote past was imagined before a single film with a dinosaur in it existed.
Sizes: measurements, where each one is made and what it costs
Measurements of the garment, not of your body. Take one that fits you the way you like, lay it flat and measure: the width from seam to seam below the sleeve, and the length from the highest point of the shoulder down to the hem. These are the ones the factory itself publishes, in centimetres.
| Size | Length | Width | Made in | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 71,1 | 45,7 | Spain | 19.95 € |
| M | 73,7 | 50,8 | Spain | 19.95 € |
| L | 76,2 | 55,9 | Spain | 19.95 € |
| XL | 78,7 | 61 | Spain | 19.95 € |
| 2XL | 81,3 | 66 | Spain | 21.95 € |
| 3XL | 83,8 | 71,1 | Spain | 23.95 € |
Manufacturing tolerance: ±2 cm, as with any cotton garment.
Sizes 2XL, 3XL cost more because they use more fabric and the factory charges us more for them: we would rather say so here and stock them than not have them. The regular sizes all cost the same.
«Made in» comes from the warehouse Printful declares for that exact size, not from an estimate of ours.
