What it is made of
The source
Sparta and Thermopylae
Bronze and wood: the one-piece Corinthian helmet with its two eye slots, the aspis at over ninety centimetres with its porpax and antilabe, the long spear, the red cloak. Long hair and a comb too, which in Herodotus are fighting kit every bit as much as the shield. Facing them, the Immortals with wicker shields faced in leather and cane arrows, and not a single mask.
La historia es libre. El look concreto del comic de Frank Miller y de la peli NO.
